Friday July 18 was a very special day for our school in Ruiru. Teachers, kids, parents, governmental executives and headmasters of other schools in the surrounding area celebrated the progress that Githothua Primary has made in the past two years.

The school was dubbed number one in the district, region and even entire country for several activities and subjects. Awards were handed out by Members of Parliament, representatives of the County Assembly, the Ministry of Education and Municipal Councilors. Needless to say that we are very, very proud of this achievement and of our team in Kenya!

Our teammember Daniel Kisavi about the festive day: “Those in attendance praised and appreciated the garden and kitchen that FoodVillage realized. And a Member of Parliament even donated some bags of cereals and cooking oil.”
